CENTERPOINT MEDICAL CENTER IS THE NAMING RIGHTS PARTNER FOR THE
COMMUNITY ICE FACILITY AT THE INDEPENDENCE EVENTS CENTER
INDEPENDENCE, Missouri – Global Entertainment Corporation is pleased to announce that the community ice and practice facility for the Missouri Maverick’s CHL Hockey Franchise has been named the Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice. In addition to the building naming rights, Centerpoint Medical Center’s logo is prominently featured in the center of the ice.
“We are grateful to Centerpoint Medical Center that they have adopted our Community Ice facility and appreciate their willingness to help build hockey and ice-related sports in Eastern Jackson County,” said Global Entertainment Corporation President Rick Kozuback. “We recognize their leadership in the community and look forward to building a strong partnership with them to grow our community ice program to be the best in the region.

The Independence Events Center will recognize Centerpoint Medical Center as the Official Community Ice Naming Rights Partner at the Mid America High School Hockey League game at 5:50 p.m. Saturday, November 14 - the St. Joseph Griffons take on the Independence Jr. Mavericks at the Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice. This event is free and open to the public. Executives from Centerpoint Medical Center will be on hand to drop the ceremonial puck.

About the MAHSHL
The purpose of the Mid America High School Hockey League (“MAHSHL”) is to promote the game of hockey at the high school level in the Mid America region of the United States in a positive manner. The league will provide an equal opportunity for the high school aged player to learn the game, increase their skill level, and share in the enjoyment of playing competitive hockey. The MAHSHL specifically provides a platform for the high school aged player who does not qualify or desire to play AA or AAA Midget hockey, and an opportunity to participate in a well organized and competitive environment. AA and AAA players are eligible to participate subject to the rules and regulations of the MAHSHL. It is our desire that each participant - player, coach, referee, and parent - finds a supportive environment that encourages development to his or her maximum potential. The League will promote competition and fun within a positive environment. In doing so, it will help instill in young players the value and importance of teamwork and exemplary sportsmanship.
